Balloon Sinuplasty
At Red River ENT Associates, our doctors are experts at helping you achieve sinus relief with balloon sinuplasty. This procedure is performed to clear blockages in the nasal cavity, restore normal mucus drainage, and relieve built-up pressure from chronic sinusitis – a condition that is characterized by reoccurring sinus infections for three or more months.Most cases of chronic sinusitis are the result of a reoccurring bacterial, viral, or microbial infection, which may be related to a structural issue, such as a blockage within the nasal cavity that prevents normal mucus drainage. During a balloon sinuplasty, a tiny balloon catheter is inserted through a nostril into the affected sinus cavity, where it is inflated.
